Aims and Scope
Journal of carcinogenesis considers manuscripts in many areas of carcinogenesis and chemoprevention. Primary areas of interest to the journal include: physical and chemical carcinogenesis and mutagenesis; processes influencing or modulating carcinogenesis, such as DNA repair, genetics, nutrition and metabolism of carcinogens; the mechanism of action of carcinogens and modulating agents; epidemological studies and the formation, detection, identification and quantification of environmental carcinogens. Manuscripts that contribute to the understanding of cancer prevention are especially encouraged for submission.

Comments of the Participants of Carcinogenesis 2012
I was happy to speak in the Carcinogenesis 2012 as a key note speaker. It was a very exciting and impressive conference that focused on Carcinogenesis, cancer prevention and therapeutics. I am sure the conference will have a long lasting impact of the Carcinogenesis research community.

I was pleased to be the plenary speaker at the Carcinogenesis 2012 held in New Delhi, India from 19-12 November 2012. I was impressed with the quality of talks in the area of carcinogenesis and cancer prevention. I wish the Carcinogenesis Foundation and the Journal of Carcinogenesis a great success in their efforts in bringing the field of Carcinogenesis, cancer researchers and clinicians together in addressing the issues related to cancer.

I have been attending Conferences organized in India by Carcinogenesis Foundation for the last three years. I have noted that these conferences are growing larger with a greater scientific foundation. The presentations of scientific and clinical material has increased and I am pleased to be a part of these conferences. I wish the journal of Carcinogenesis and the Carcinogenesis Foundation a great success in spreading knowledge about cancer causing agents and processes and the strategies for cancer prevention.

I attended and actively participated in the last three conferences in India organized by Carcinogenesis Foundation and I can see the clear progression in the quality of talks and panel discussions and debates on topics ranging from cancer prevention to clinical practice. Carcinogenesis 2012 was a great conference where the journal of Carcinogenesis played a key role in being the publications partner. I am very happy to be invited as a Sr. Editor of the Journal of Carcinogenesis charged with the task of developing the area of therapeutics to interface with the core focal subjects of the journal- Carcinogenesis and Cancer prevention.

Carcinogenesis 2012 is the first meeting of the Carcinogenesis Foundation that I attended. I was very impressed with the breadth and depth of talks, discussions and participation of professionals from diverse disciplines. I am pleased that a promising professional journal, Journal of Carcinogenesis is supporting and guiding these conferences with a clear mission of spreading the message that understanding the genesis of cancers is the key to their prevention and cure.

I was the co-chair of the local organizing committee of Carcinogenesis 2012 and I was pleased with the impact of the conference on the global clinical research community at large and the Indian clinicians in particular. The participation of the Journal of Carcinogenesis brought the message of relevance and imminence to bring the clinics and the labs together in finding a cure for the complex disease, Cancer. I look forward to working with Carcinogenesis Foundation and the journal of Carcinogenesis in the mission to bring the science, scientists and the community together in accomplishing a cancer-free world.
Dinesh Doval,MD Director of Research, Department of Medical Oncology, Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute & Research Centre, Delhi, India
I was the co-chair of the local organizing committee of Carcinogenesis 2012. I saw a great energy in the conference that was felt in the passionate discussions and presentations by eminent scientists, practicing physicians, caring nurses and passionate students of all disciplines. As a head of the Northern Chapter of Urological society of India, I was happy to provide free copies of the special issue of the Journal of Carcinogenesis focused on Prostate cancer and its prevention to all delegates. I am very pleased that the Journal of Carcinogenesis and Carcinogenesis Foundation are focusing on understanding the genesis of cancers rather than efforts to treat them.
Prof Rajeev Sood MD, Consultant Urologist, Central Health Services & Parliament of India, Chair Urology & Nodal Cancer Officer, Dr RML Hospital & PGI MER New Delhi , India
I am very pleased to be associated with Carcinogenesis 2012 as a Co-Chair of the conference. The conference achieved a major goal of bringing the “bed and the bench” together in India where the clinical practice and bench research are immiscible and the clinical and basic research communities hardly speak together. The efforts of the Carcinogenesis Foundation and the Journal of Carcinogenesis are well recognized and the conference made a great impact on the clinician community. I am pleased to be the Founding President of Carcinogenesis Foundation of India, which is formed during the Carcinogenesis 2012 conference.
K.S. Gopinath,MD Director, HCG Bangalore Institute of Oncology, Bangalore, India.
It was a pleasure to participate in carcinogenesis-2012. The conference was one of the few meetings which displayed a fine synergy of clinical and basic sciences covering different types of cancers. The students and faculty mixed well for exchange of ideas. Would be nice if sections devoted to translational medicine/research are included in future meetings. Wishing the “J of carcinogenesis” a great success.
